When I'm mobile hipchat still shows me as available (green). How can I fix this?

I use hipchat for work so it's important I get notified of any updates. Lately when I close hipchat on my desktop - on mobile it still says I'm available (green status) and I end up missing notifications. Previously when I close out hipchat on my desktop it would automatically send me to mobile status on my phone (which is what I want).
How can I fix this?

I have tried Uninstalling and reinstall but that didn't work and also have tried tinkering with the settings to no avail.
Can anyone help fix this?

If you're phone is actively logged in (i.e. your phone is unlocked and the app is in the foreground), then you should receive in-app notifications for messages. If not, you should receive push notifications after you log out of your desktop client. 

If that's not the case, you may have a stale session preventing you from going fully offline. You can view your current chat sesions at https://hipchat.com/account/sessions. From there, you can log out any unwanted sessions.

If the problem continues after that (or if you have troubles logging out), I'd recommend contacting our support team directly by going to https://support.atlassian.com/contact/

Thanks for the reply, but no luck. 

Ive opened a ticket with the support team. 

I am actively logged in all the time on mobile, but i would assume when i exit the desktop app, it would list me as mobile anyway since i have the android app....
