I'm looking at this page https://confluence.atlassian.com/hc/hipchat-server-release-notes-608731400.html and I'm a little confused as to what is the correct proceedure for upgrading from Hipchat server 2.2.9 to 2.4 is it the normal method as stated here? https://confluence.atlassian.com/hc/upgrading-hipchat-server-606306347.html
Hi Nick,
The upgrade procedure is the same.
What is the part that seems confusing to you? Is it the compatibility warning box?
If we change it to something like: You can only go to 2.4.0 from 2.2.x or older. Would that make more sense?
Thanks.
It was this bit
Compatibility Warning: 2.2.x -> 2.4.0
2.3.x versions of Hipchat Server cannot be upgraded to version 2.4.0.
The HCS 2.3.x versions were a beta version of HipChat Data Center, and as such contained architectural changes which are not compatible with the 2.4.0 version.
I was seeing the first line and then the second line but I hadn't noticed the 2.3.x so I was thinking I couldn't upgrade from 2.2.9.
Maybe the first line is out of place?

Ok, I have changed the first line to:
Compatibility Warning: 2.3.x -> 2.4.0
I hope that's clear now.

Great. In this case, please mark my initial comment as an answer and up-vote it. Thanks!
