I want to see what is going on, but don't want a program manager to bug me into fixing this and that in the evening (and the company using your "performance review" as pressure to say whether you put an extra mile into your work). So is there a way to log into HipChat as invisible?
No, the system needs you to log in to see what you're allowed to see, and it always shows participants (this is a good thing, as people really don't like being invisibly monitored - to the point where it would be illegal in some states)
interesting... so ICQ and MSN were both illegal in some states? Or maybe even Google Chat at some point, when you can set yourself as invisible but see who is online?
