Team,
I used the old way to send messages:
client = new HipChat(accessKey);
Room room = client.getRoom(roomID);
UserId from = UserId.create(userID, name);
if(room != null){
room.sendMessage(message, from, false, Color.PURPLE);
}
Are there examples on how to do this with the new JSON API?
Hi David,
Have a look at our documentation, it describes the different message formats. It is the same end point as before just the format of the message is different. You can also look at the examples in an add-on like https://bitbucket.org/hipchat/hipconnecttester .
Anatoli,
Thank you for the quick response. I was looking thru the documentation. I just need a simple java example to post messages from the testing framework.

Have a look through some of the java libraries defined on this page . E.g. https://github.com/evanwong/hipchat-java
