Replying to hipchat message

Is it possible to easily reply to to a older message by quoting the message followed by the reply?

I see that there is a ellipsis to the right of a message but when clicking it its says "No options available"

Hi Avinash.

You can quote an older message.

  1. Copy the older message to your clipboard.
  2. Type /quote and paste your message after, then send it.
  3. I suggest using an @mention to alert the person you're answering.

Here's more info on the "slash command": Keyboard shortcuts and slash commands

I hope this helps.

John, does your product team have a roadmap for making these interactions a little more robust? I think the UX of copying a message, quoting it, sending it, and replying to it is cumbersome at best. I find it frustrating to click on ellipses next to messages only to be given the option of No options available
