I found information within this link (https://www.hipchat.com/docs/apiv2/method/remove_member) for creating an API to remove a user from a room. However, it doesn't seem its a finished page with all the information. It says "No Content". Are you no longer allowing this action?
The No Content refers to the anticipated response which you will receive alongside the response code 204.
You can see a fuller description of what a 204 response code means at https://httpstatuses.com/204 but in simple terms for HipChat it means it has done what you asked for. Any other response code will have its own meaning.
