Partitioned room where some users only see a subset of other users

We'd like to use hipchat to chat with partners, but we don't want partners to be exposed to each other. Each partner can only communicate with our employees. We'd like this to all happen in a single room so our employees don't have to constantly jump from room to room.

Is such a setup possible with hipchat?

Hi Niels,

HipChat has a guest feature that you could do by creating a private room for specific partners, but there's a few limitation such as history message is gone after guest user exit etc. You can check this KB:

You could also create a private room and add your partners, but the partners could see each other and chat as they are within the same group so I guess your best approach would be using the guest feature.
