Partial screen capture in Hipchat

I am going to use Hipchat in my organisation soon. My question is is it possible to perform partial screen capture and then post it into Hipchat ? Let's say for an example :

- you click a button then an arrow will appear so you can crop any space on the screen.

- Once done, you click a button again and then such partial screen capture will be posted onto the chat.

Currently, I believe only adding a screen capture as a file is possible which is not convenient for me.

While there is no built-in screen capture tool available on HipChat itself, I would recommend you to send it as a file attachment for now though I believe it is inconvenient for you. There is a suggestion created to address this feature to the development team, however it has been around for quite some time due to the lesser popularity compared to the rest of the suggestions:
