Hi, iam using the recent HipChat client software for OSX ElCapitan but VideoCalling has some issues:
1.) Screen SHaring does not work, never reaches the target
2.) Button to disable video not working -> I can cklick the button but my opponent still see my camera output
3.) Screen share never refresh .. and its terrible slow (EU customer)
4.) Login to hipchat-server from linux client is not possible over domain name, but over IP (we have an haproxy in front of a single HipChat instance, DNS configured and ssl terminated @ haproxy)
We are testing the current hipchat-server which is running fine so far, except these issues. (All Videoshare related)
Hi Daniel, it sounds like you have an older version of the Mac client. Please make sure you have the latest by downloading the latest from https://www.hipchat.com/downloads. If that doesn't help, please provide your exact version info from the about dialog.
Hi, 1 Problem solved
Downloading the newest version from the Website(osx) allows screensharing and turnoff video (build in update routine didnt found the update), but:
Performance is still horrible (2-10 seconds delay) and screensharing is not refreshing (same like linux) and the linux client is still unnable to connect to the hipchat-server over fqdn. Version: 2.2.1400 | http://downloads.hipchat.com/linux/apt/ stable/main amd64 Packages
Some HipChat-Server details:
Latest Version (from today), haproxy in front with valid certificate (and ssl backend configured). Installed in vmware
