Notifications from Twitter integration not working

Hello, 

We have the twitter integration set up to send to two certain rooms with two different twitter accounts. Our users do not get notification sounds/the numbered notifications next to the room/pop up notifications from the twitter posts. They get notifications as usual if someone posts in the room, but not for the twitter posts. 

We need to know how to fix this or else it renders the twitter hookup basically useless as they are not aware that something has come through...

The existing Twitter integration does not "notify" and are simply ambient notifications in the room (meaning, you won't get mobile, email, or desktop notifications for them). That was intentional since the thought is that most users would probably feel that it would be too noisy if it did notify.

There are other integrations you can use to craft your own Twitter integration with HipChat. One popular choice is Zapier: https://zapier.com/zapbook/hipchat/. From there, you can set up Zapier to "notify" every user in the room whenever a Tweet comes in.
