Not able to login into HipChat Linux Client through Proxy

Hello erverybody,

I want to use the HipChat Client-Application on my Linux System. I am using Linux Ubuntu with Gnome 3.

Before I was using Windows and there I could set a proxy before I log in - now it just shows "It looks like you are not connected to the internet. Check your network connection".

I setted a proxy through the systemwide settings in Gnome. Hipchat is the only client which has problems with it.

Maybe someone can help me.

Hey Fabian,

Could you share with us the client log so we can take a look on what's the causes of this issue? You can get the log by running the following commands:

hipchat4 > ~/Desktop/HipChatLog.txt

I'm having this same issue - it just started today (I've been using this client for some time)

$ hipchat4 > ~/Desktop/HipChatLog.txt

would seem to be low priority - workaround "use web client"!
