The top menu bar with the 'New Chat' button and Search text box are covered up by the Caption bar. I have tied resizing with Cntrl-+ / - but that didn't help much.
I also uninstalled/reinstalled HipChat but the Hipchat window layout is still the same.
It looks like you're is hitting into a known issue for the Windows client.
Initially, we recommend that you update the video drivers from your computer. If that does not work, let's see if disabling GPU fixes the issue. To disable GPU follow below steps which are also mentioned in [Windows HipChat client crashes immediately on launch|https://confluence.atlassian.com/hipchatkb/windows-hipchat-client-crashes-immediately-on-launch-788732165.html]:
# Please logout and close the HipChat app
# Right click on the HipChat shortcut and select properties
# At the end of the field *target*, please add --disable-gpu.
If after the above, the issue still persists, then please opena support ticket with us and send us the following:
* HipChat for Windows logs following the steps on the [How to get Windows client logs|https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/HIPCHATKB/Sending+Windows+Client+Logs+to+Support] documentation
* Please use the [DirectX Diagnostic Tool|http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/run-directx-diagnostic-tool] that is bundled with Windows.
# Open DirectX Diagnostic Tool by clicking the Start button > type dxdiag in the Search box, and then press ENTER.
# Choose "Save All Information..." to save the resulting report.
# Add the DirectX Diagnostic report to this support ticket.
Thank you in advance!
