Metadata send in text and html messages

I'm developing an addon that perform operations using the metadata (through action and dialog) from the messages. The user can configure what kind of message to be send (card, text or html). The problem I'm facing is that the addon is not able to perform the action if the message is text or html as as far as I know cards are the only ones with metadata.

Not sure why the metadata is at card level and not at send notification payload level.

Is there a way to send metadata in text or html messages?

Unfortunately, metadata is restricted to cards at the moment.

I created https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/HCPUB-1623, it would definitely make sense to have this option.
