There was a discussion about a year ago that you can find at HipChat UI localization for German? The guidance from Support was as follows:
I'm sorry but the UI of HipChat is currently only available in English. We have plans to provide translations in other languages in the near future. You can still communicate using HipChat in your local language.
There are two requests to have HipChat localized that you can find at HCPUB-2898 and HCPUB-962.
Please vote on the two issues and you will be notified when any updates occur on the ticket.
