Is there a reason that you can't specify text alignment on a td when sending a HTML message in the hipchat api

I am sending an html table in a room notification through the HipChat api and want some of the columns to be right aligned, but there is currently no way of doing this that i can see.

At the moment I am using transparent characters to space the values across to align them, which really isn't ideal.

Does anyone know of a better way to do this? OR can the style attribute be added to the TD element whitelist so the text-align can be specified.

Hi Richard, the <span> element supports the "style" attribute, maybe you could nest a span in the TD?
