Is there away where we can insert a special character (for example) and have a template linked to that character thus when the user enters let's say ! a template appears? This way the user doesn't have to type the message every single time?

Templating like you described isn't a feature in the clients, unfortunately. If you're running on macOS, you can use the built-in text replacements feature (found in System Preferences > Keyboard > Text). There may be equivalents on other operating systems as well.
