In HipChat Server can files be stored on premise? If not can the file upload ability be turned off?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Share files

When using HipChat Server can files be store on premise either in the appliance itself or on an external file share?  If this is not possible and the obfuscated Amazon S3 URL is the only option can the file upload feature be turned off?

Hi John,

HipChat Server files are stored on premise as mentioned in the HipChat Server FAQ: https://confluence.atlassian.com/hc/hipchat-server-faq-702714980.html

At this time, you cannot designate an external service to host these files.

If you need to, HipChat Server has the ability to turn off file uploads (Web UI -> Group Admin -> Features -> File sharing -> Disable).

Cheers,
