Implement a HipChat Client for Automated Conversation

I wish to be able to create an application which will login as user credentials and talk to individual users. There will be a backend which reads the communication and responds based on queries. However, it appears that any integration with HipChat can only be done via rooms and there is no individual one to one integration available?

Do you by chance talking about creating a bot that will listen to request and respond back via 1-on-1? If yes, then I think it might be possible to do so, but I don't have much on how to develop one. So I highly suggest you reach out to our developer community which could help you on this at:
