I am owner of a group in Hipchat. I cannot find the ability to delete links that have been posted into a room

Hi, We are attempting to use HipChat for our non profit radio station. I have been very impressed thus far, however, I am finding a few things that don't seem to be functioning. We have several links that our news department use on an ongoing basis to gather stories. A few are no longer needed or need to be changed and I can find no way to delete the unwanted links. I have followed the instructions in the knowledge base, but no histroy link appears on the left and no matter where I hover over the links there never seems to be the ability to delete.

Hi Pat,

Please see this previous question and answer.

How do I Delete and or Edit Messages and Files in HipChat

The video in the answer will show you how to do it. We understand it is not an ideal user interaction so it is hard to find this delete functionality. We are working on improving the user experience everywhere we can and hope to have a better delete message experience in the future.

this does not seem to delete links - can't work out how to do that and if so totaly destroys functionality for us. Can't have people searching through links for the ones that are currently working!!

You have to have the Role Owner or Admin in your HipChat instance to perform the below.
  1. Log in to HipChat in your browser  (https://YourDomainGoesHere.hipchat.com)
  2. Select Group Admin at the top
  3. Go to the Rooms tab.
  4. Search for the room the link is in.
  5. Click the Room that the link is in
  6. Click History in the left menu bar.
  7. Search or browse for the message or file you want to delete.
  8. Click View above the message or file you intend to delete.
  9. Hover over the message or file, then click  on the left.

again does not seem to delete links
