I would like to get the FQDN (fully qaulified domain name) of the HipChat server on which my add on is installed.
So that I can use them in the message card URL.
When I get incoming request to addon, the request contains only roomId and userId.
Is there any way to identify form which HipChat server the request is coming from?
example:
company1.hipchat,com, company2.hipchat.com, etc;
Hi Ramesh,
you can use view group api to get the domain name. You need to have the right scopes in order to all that method.
Also, just though of if. During the installation you get the capabilities url – you can extract FQDN from there. You would need the url to call any of the api methods anyway.
