How to fix a typo with special characters in the HipChat App?

According to the documentation it's possible to fix your typos like this:

s/misspelled word/corrected word

This is my text in which I wanted to fix a typo and replace the slash "/" by a dash "-":

hello/world

So I tried to use the following pattern to fix it:

s///-

I even tried to escape the special character "/" with a backward slash "\":

s/\//-

Nothing worked for me. 
What am I doing wrong here?

Meanwhile, can I please check if you are using HipChat Cloud / Server / Data Center? If you are on Cloud, may we know if you have been migrated to Stride yet? It has its own message editing feature which allow you to edit the message you sent without the s/ command.
