This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Share files
When sharing files via Hipchat, they are stored on Amazon S3 (with public links !) How long are those files stored ? Is there a way to delete them on Amazon servers ?
We don't intentionally throw any files away in HipChat. You can delete them though: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/HIPCHAT/Delete+messages+and+files
The eventual goal is to move files to a secure place within the group and then give users a simple way to share that file out if they choose (as opposed to what we do today where the file is public by default).
I don't think that this has the answer and maybe someone else can help but here's their Privacy Policy (https://www.hipchat.com/privacy).
