How do enable (activate) a previously disabled (deactivated) user?

We have a user who is trying to activate his log in that was deactivated by another firm that also used Hipchat. We are not the admins here.

Hi Jatan,

The user can try deleting their account at https://www.hipchat.com/account/delete - once they've done this, you should be able to add their email address on your own instance.

Hi Jatan,

To expand on Daniel's answer, if the user has an active HipChat account with an email address for company A and needs to use that same email address in company B, deleting the account should free that email address up. At this point the admin for company B can sign up the user with that email address.

Thanks for the assistance David, we just decided to use a different email address. Not ideal, but still works!
