I keep pressing ALT + W which is not supposed to do anything but it actually closes a 1:1 chat window.
It's not my fault. In my language (PL) "-ów" ending is one of the most common combinations of characters. When typing fast it's hard to avoid these slips.
Unfortunately, there's no built in way to disable the ALT-W shortcut. One method you might try is using the built-in macOS application shortcuts feature: http://lifehacker.com/5720087/how-to-remap-any-keyboard-shortcut-in-mac-os-x (can be found under Keyboard preferences). That might let you override the command using the name of the menu item ("Close Chat")
