Unfortunately it is not possible right now to configure global aliases. Alias is a room level add-on and it only can be used in the room it is installed in. We might look into making it global in the future.
There are some corner cases for a global aliases scenarios that we will have to solve - what happens when an alias is used in a private room with only some alias members available? What about name collisions for aliases across different rooms?
