Official setup guide (https://confluence.atlassian.com/hipchatdc3/set-up-a-small-scale-hipchat-data-center-cluster-939689319.html) only mention the procedure under VMware environment. But we don't have VMware, we are using Hyper-V and KVM for our atlassian services.
Anyway I found this question, https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Hipchat-questions/Is-there-any-chance-to-get-an-image-for-KVM-Host-of-HipChat/qaq-p/756173 . Atlassian person said they did not provide KVM image.
But as I mentioned above, we do not have VMware and there are no plan to introduce it.
So actually I need a hipchat installer that is not depend on any hypervisor. Is there any help for this purpose or my choice is only converting an image from OVS to KVM ?? It's seriously inconvenient.
Hi, Koga!
KVM is not supported. We do not have system-agnostic Hipchat installers yet. For more details, please refer to the following suggestion:
HCPUB-22 - Create standalone installer for HipChat Server
You can try converting the image in order to virtualize it on KVM, but please be aware that in that case we will not be able to provide adequate support in case of problems.
Thank you for reply, I understood current limitation of hipchat install.
We may try image conversion in this term.
