How can I find a room by number in the Hipchat Mac application?

Users often share links to Hipchat rooms in URLs like https://hipchat.mycompany.com/chat/room/377. Those are useful in browsers but not in the Mac application. How can I search for a room number in the Mac application? (My workaround is to link to it in a browser, copy the title, and search for the title in the application.)

There's no method to lookup room IDs from within the Mac application itself. The clients do support linking to a room via the `hipchat://` URL scheme (e.g. hipchat://hipchat.mycompany.com/room/377). Unfortunately, there's no great way to generate these links currently. Your method of searching via the title is probably the most straightfoward way without writing some kind of program to automatically translate the links.
