Due to security concerns we have to disable file transfer and attachments in HipChat. Is this possible? An alternative to this would be the integration of an AntiVirus Scanner.

Hello!
You can disable file sharing in Hipchat by accessing your instance as administrator and navigating to Group admin > Preferences and selecting Disable under File sharing. Please let us know in case of any questions or obstacles!
Thanks, we will try this. We could prevent having to disable file sharing if we could tell our security officer that files can be run through a scanner before they can be exchanged. Is it possible to have HipChat scan and possibly deny files or do you rely on client side protection ?
