I am evaluating a locally hosted HipChat server. (OVA based installation.)
For some reason the timestamps in our messages are all 2 hours in the future (Our local time is UTC +2). We are using the latest version of the HipChat desktop app ( 188.8.131.528 (Web Core 4.27.10))
Changing the local time on the desktop app makes no difference.
If I ssh into the HipChat server and execute "date" i see that it says the UTC time is effectively the same as the local time, it should be 2 hours less than our local time.

the "date" command gives the correct UTC time but after I send a chat message using the desktop app, the time gets reset somehow back to the incorrect value. I confirm this by running "date" again and I see the incorrect UTC time.
Is there anything I can do to sort out the time on my HipChat installation so that our chats will show the correct timestamps?
