Hi, a colleague pointed something out to me about Hipchat that I wanted some help on.
If we create a private room and then share the url of that room with another user he or she can join the room without being a hipchat user. We is strange as I thought anyone who users Hipchat has to be user.
So if after the hipchat meeting how do I block anyone from using that room again?

When you mentioned about sharing the URL of the private room, I would assume that the Guest Access is enabled. As mentioned in the documentation, the feature allows you to open up some rooms to people outside your Hipchat group, especially for communicating with vendors, clients or providing live customer support.
Should there be any need to "kick out" non-HipChat users, you should be able to switch off Guest Access and the guest users will be logged out automatically:
If you enable Guest Access again, it will be tied to a new URL and new guests will have to use it to join the room (old URL will be invalid).
