Hipchat Windows Application not displaying JIRA Avatars

When using the HipChat Windows Application none of the JIRA Avatars are displaying in the main feed window. The Issue Type, Priority, etc shows up fine, but not the profile picture. These images show fine in the web versions, just not the Windows application. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Yeah, it looks like a bug. The avatars are behind a log-in page. On the web you are most likely logged into JIRA already that's why the avatars are shown. In the desktop clients it is not the case.

I agree. Either:

1) provide an option in JIRA to allow unauthenticated access to the avatars

or

2) have HipChat proxy access to JIRA (given JIRA already trusts HipChat)
