Hipchat Server: Is it possible to log in as root?

Hi im currently evaluating HCS and im an having some trouble with the connectivity,

port 5222 refuses connections.

Is possible to login as root?

I would like to check if there is a firewall running and if there are some logfiles hinting at the cause of the problem.

On the shell the admin user cannot sudo.

Hi Jens,

It is possible to gain root access, steps are documented in Getting root access to the OVA and AMI files.

I would also suspect that 5222 is refusing connections because of External XMPP ports 5222, 5223 disabled by default in HipChat Server 2.0.7. The page contains steps on how to enable it.

Thanks.
