Hipchat Guest Access randomly turns on

One of our Hipchat administrators will appear to randomly turn Guest Access on for various private Hipchat rooms.  He's often not even at his desk when it happens.  He's competent and computer literate so I have no reason to expect that it's user error, and he's changed his password multiple times.

Has anybody else experienced this problem?

If you are on HipChat server, you may want to globally disable guest access until you resolve this. (/admin/preferences>Guest Access)

You may check the log /var/log/hipchat/coral.log for room updates. It is possible to use the update_room method to change a room to is_guest_accessible so a script may be causing the issue.

If you are on Cloud, the Atlassian support team will have to check the logs for you. (https://getsupport.atlassian.com)
