So we use Hipchat for our Call Center to direct phone calls on hold to the appropriate department. Each room is set up to by department and most messages are basically numbers.
1
2 & 3
Meaning that lines "1", "2" & "3" are for this department. This allows for people on the phone to know which lines are in need of assistance, as soon as they are available to take another call.
Here in this image, you see at 12:04pm that the first message "2" was made, but I do not have any other information for the following message. I can't see what the exact times are. Some conversations happen so quickly and new calls take over those lines. So now we run into the issue where we are picking up the wrong line, because this new call on the line. If we can get a feature to turn on timestamp for each chat message, this would help clear a lot of confusion for us.
Here is what I a see when visiting chat history, but not in the actual chat room.
Desired output would be something like this:
Rosa 12:04 PM
2 12:04
3 12:05
2 & 3 12:07
thanks
Hi Michael,
Currently, HipChat doesn't have the feature to separate message for each time stamps. Sorry.
However, I've proceeded to create a feature request on behalf of you at:
* https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/HCPUB-3343
I would suggest you *Vote* and *Watch* the feature request so that you'll receive an update when we are working on it.
Hope this helps.
