Hipchat Atlassian Integrations Interoperability?

We are currently using Discord for team chat. What we have found that we often do a lot of brainstorming and concept development there but then we have trouble capturing the free form conversations to design docs as they can scroll by days before someone has time to go looking through the History. 

Does the Atlassian Integration with Jira/Confluence allow us to directly capture conversations from the Hipchat UI and dump them into other atlassian products? For instance create a Jira issue from Hipchat?

To phrase it another way:  What kind of integrated control would we have over atlassian products from Within the HipChat Interface?

For the most part, you can push content from JIRA and Confluence over to HipChat, rather than doing things in HipChat and having them reflected in JIRA and Confluence.
