HipChat room avatars not displaying in clients?

Hello - we are running a HipChat team server and I am not able to view room avatars on any client I have tried: iOS, Mac Safari, Mac desktop, and Windows desktop (4.28.1.1659). However when I query the HipChat API for the room info I do see that the avatar_url and I am able to browse the referenced image directly (i.e. https://hipchat-team-server.com/files/photos/room_XXXX/YYYY.png)

Room avatars are actually a feature where our API is a bit ahead of our client. Support for displaying those avatars in the clients themselves is something that is on our roadmap for the future. We don't have a specific timeframe, but in the meanwhile the image URLs will be stored on the room data when you save it via the API.
