Hi!
We are looking into using HipChat Server for company's internal communication.
So far, the virtual setup of HipChat Server from open archive (OVA) image or an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) is proving confusing.
Is it possible to install HipChat Server on a Linux-based virtual private server, specifically, Ubuntu 14.04? If it is possible, what would be the general workflow?
I don't believe Atlassian offers and supports anything other than the OVA/AMI right now. Apparently it seems pretty hardcoded as far as services and system dependancies go. I would hope that the development team is working on standardizing the release into a more standard archive as they offer with their other applications but don't take my word for it.
We bought a license for HipChat only to see that we cannot install on our own image. This is not an option for us.
