When typing the space name in the HipChat Integration screen, the following error is being generated (as seen from the log catalina.out):
[ sf. hibernate. util. JDBCExceptionReporter ] logExceptions 'length' is not a recognized built-in function name
Our Confluence has an MS SQL database, and form what I gather HipChat is using PostgreSQL commands. Is there anything that can be done to fix this?
Hi Annabel,
We haven't seen this problem before. In order for us to investigate further could you please let us know what version of Confluence, the version of the MSSQL and the version of the plugin you use. Also, can you please attach a bigger snippet of the logs that contains the Error?
We have reproduces the problem - it happens with MSSQL when you try to pick a space when configuring notifications from a global screen (under General Configration -> HipChat Integration
) :

The work around is to configure notifications inside space integration screen. For example if you want to send notifications about "Confluence PM" space go to "Confluence PM" -> Integrations
and you will be able to configure notifications from there.

We are working to fix this problem and the next release of the plugin will have it resolved.
