HipChat Monit Service Manager Statuses

We are running HipChat datacenter on prem and I've allowed external access to the Monit Service Manager web gui witch worked great. I'm now trying to set it up so that our monitoring plattform can monitor that interface. Our main Nagios ops departement are now interested in what type of statuses we can expect to see in the interface so they can set alerts based on that.

Hello there, Karl.

I believe that you have the monit GUI enabled through How to enable the Monit GUI to monitor the Hipchat Data Center nodes. While I do not have the complete list of the statuses, the ones that I know of are:

System & Processes

• Not monitored
• Initializing
• Running
• Execution Failed
• Connection Failed
• Does not exist

Filesystem

• Accessible
• Data access error

Perhaps others users have more to share on this.
