Simple question: in the Group Admins section there is an option under SignUps to enable specified domains "to automatically verify other people who want to join your team". What is the effect of enabling this option for a specific domain or set of domains and how does the "verify" process work?
Thank you.
If you click on the "Enable your domain" button, then new users will be able to self sign up to your group (team) if they register with an email address sharing the same domain as yours. For example, if your HipChat email address is foo@example.com, then a user with the email address bar@example.com will be able to sign up into your group without any help from you. This feature is not available for public email addresses such as gmail.com.

We send and email to the address that person entered, in Dugald's example it is bar@atlassian.com. If the user can access that email and click on the link we sent then it proves that it is indeed her email and she can join the group.
