Hi

helcorintho June 15, 2016

I work as a I.T. Analyst on UOL/SA, An Internet company located at São Paulo/SP - Brazil, I would like to know if there is another approach about HipChat installation, Here we use RedHat / CentOS Linux and our own package control, so to validate the possibility of use your application, we need to perform a personal installation based on the structure above using some kind of RPM package instead a OVA or AMI image.

Hi @Helder Pereira,

Unfortunately HipChat Server is built up as an appliance based on Ubuntu 14.04 64bit.

The good news is that it uses debian packages and a simple install script if you need to bring your own base OS but the bad news is there's no Red Hat support directly.

You can install virutalbox on Red Hat to deploy the OVA, though obviously that's not ideal.
