LS: I have followed all settings in this article. on both the HipChat app and under General setting on my Ios phone. I am allowing fore all push notifications, etc. Never the less, I am not able to hear a sound or see a pop-up menu. Neither any of my colleagues in the office are able to hear the notifications on both their Ios and Android devices.
It sounds like you might have some specific configuration or device issue causing troubles. I'd recommend contacting our support team at email@example.com and they should be able to help diagnose whatever problems you're having and potentially obtain logs or file a bug with our developers.
