Guide to Botler

Is there a guide anywhere on how to use this? For people who are not technically minded this add-on is not helping as there's no instructions or examples to work from.

for example - how to set up memes from botler or post an image based on user request.

i have at present have only been able to set up basic commands that only post a message back and doesn't actually do anything or choose random responses or anything like this.

If you're looking specifically for memes and images, you might want to check out the pre-configured "Sassy" bot from - it will probably do much of what you want out of the box (you can check out its capabilities by typing "/sassy" after it's installed)

We just do some silliness with it, but here is an example of what we've done;

{"name":"The Craps","event":"room_message","pattern":"/thecraps","reply":"{{senderName}} rolled: [(d62),(d64),(d63),(d61),(d66),(d65)] [(d62),(d64),(d63),(d61),(d66),(d65)]","replyHtml":false,"notify":false,"enable":true}

The purpose here is to roll dice for craps. We have emotes set up for each face of a 6 sided die. For example, (d62) displays "2" on a 6 sided die. The structure randomizes from both [lists], using the commas as delimiters.

I'm still digging around for better examples to do more complicated things. We've done D&D character generation, Random quotes, etc. Sometimes it works perfect for one thing and gets wonky for another.

Good luck
