Get notified when user is available in HipChat

Is there a way in HipChat to get notifications when a user's status becomes available?

I notice that very often, when I change my status from away to available in HipChat, I almost immediately get a message from my coworkers. I'm not sure if it's just a crazy coincidence, or they're stalking my HipChat status because they really want to talk to me

There's no built-in option to get notification when a user's presence changes / becomes available. It sounds like your coworkers are stalking you 😬 

Presence changes are indicated in the left sidebar, however, so if you keep a user's tab open, it probably won't be too difficult to notice when it changes from gray/yellow/red to green. I suspect this is most likely what is happening.
