The s/ command is definitely not ideal because it forces you to type the mistake over again AND if the message is long and there are multiple mistakes, you only have 30 seconds to 1 minute to make the adjustment before it locks permanently. A much friendlier feature is the ability to always edit your most recent message with a quick tap of the up arrow key. Also having the option to edit any of your previous messages using the ... button would be incredibly helpful for organizational purposes. If you wait too long or mess up the s/ command then you end up having to make corrections using a second message and the * asterisk indicating your actual intent. This only further clutters the chat window. I would really love to see this improvement in the near future.
