Disable automatic updates OS X

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Download the HipChat apps

I manage several Mac clients and I'd like to disable the automatic update of HipChat as I'm updating their HipChat's myself through Munki. There is no option in the interface to disable it. So my question is how can I (quickly) disable automatic updates for multiple OS X clients?

Unfortunately, there's no built-in way to disable updates for the Mac client. A couple "hacky" options:

1) If you have a firewall, you can block the update URL: https://www.hipchat.com/release_notes/appcast/mac

2) You can change the update URL to point to somewhere that won't show updates by modifying the SUFeedURL property of the app's Info.plist file
