Custom Status Icons (e.g. home office)

Hi,

is it possible to add custom user-status icons to HipChat like the mobile icon?

In our case it would be great to see a difference between a user in the office or in home-office.

Unfortunately, HipChat doesn't support custom status icons. Your best option is to use status messages along with the existing status icons to add detail to a user's presence (e.g. Setting available/green presence with a message of "WFH" or "At home office").

FYI - as a quick shortcut, presence can be set from the message input by using slash commands like /here, /away, /dnd

Plugins (i.e. addons / integrations) don't support modifying status icons as one of their points of interface. You can see a list of interface points at https://developer.atlassian.com/hipchat/getting-started
