I have a problem setting up the hipchat server (not datacenter) with the Jira user server. So far we have successfully configured jira, confluence and bitbucket to jira user server. But from hipchat we are getting 403 Forbiden
The folowing can be seen from JIRA access log:
***.***.***.*** 1050x39082x1 - [03/Sep/2017:17:30:29 +0200] "POST /rest/usermanagement/1/search?entity-type=user&start-index=0&max-results=1&expand=user HTTP/1.1" 403 19072 68 "-" "Apache-HttpClient/4.5.3 (Java/1.8.0_91)" "-"
We have followed the guides and we have added the hipchat ip address to JIRA user servers list.
And we have whitelisted the ip for incoming and outcoming connections.
We have furthermore checked the proxy settings but seem to find no probelm there. The connection reaches JIRA, which is then rejected by it.
Tnx for all the help in advance!
While we do not have the complete stack trace of the 403 forbidden mentioned, I suspect that this is related to the network configuration between these applications. We have the KBs addressing this matter as per the following:
Since you mentioned that you have whitelisted the IP and configured the proxy, can we try to bypass the proxy and see if it works? If you still run into the same problem after that, share the latest stack trace that you are getting from atlassian-jira.log and /var/log/hipchat/atlassian-crowd.log from HipChat Server's end so we can analyse it further.
All good things come to an end - thanks to all our customers and partners who have been along the Hipchat and Stride journey with us. As of Feb 15th 2019, Hipchat Cloud and Stride have reached ...
