Connect single JIRA instance to several HipChat groups

Currently it seems to be impossible to connect JIRA to more than one HipChat group. Are there any plans or options to enable this?

We would like to create an individual group for some project teams which are containing in- and external collegues. All other options (like guest access to single rooms) are not yet in place, or did i miss something?

Yes, this is something we though about when developing the plugin but decided that there will little use for it. Right now we don't have plans to allow connecting JIRA to multiple rooms.

There are options for guest groups in hipchat: https://help.hipchat.com/knowledgebase/articles/64464-what-is-guest-access . Do they suit your usecase?

Hi Anatoli, thanks for your reply! This suggestions drives towards the right direction, but what if the "guests" are also part of a closed group? In our case that´s a cooperation between our and another company working on the same software. This shouldn´t be open for anybody... Think this is still a missing feature...
