Confirmation of Hipchat Server support levels

Is the following still the case regarding end of life policy for Hipchat Server 2.4?

We have developed chat bots that integrate with Hipchat Server and cannot quickly replace it. I don't care about new functionality, we're happy with it as it runs, but we'd very much appreciate confirmation that this is true and Hipchat Server is being supported till June of 2020. Thanks.

Basically yes. If you are using HipChat server 2.4 and have a valid HipChat license you should get Atlassian support until EOL.

Hi Nick,

Be aware, when the license expires, a few features are disabled on Hipchat.
One of the features that is disabled, is the ability to add new users.

Thanks for that info. We extensively make use of the Hipchat API and other features that make chat bots and alerts active in Hipchat Server. We have several years worth of work that have went into Hipchat since beta.

On the page you linked, it says this at the bottom:
As of July, 2018 Atlassian will no longer issue new HipChat Server or HipChat Data Center licenses. If you have an existing license, we can renew the license up until July 26th, 2019. Please contact us to get started.

On our license page it says this:
This license is valid until 26 July 2019. To continue using your software past that date, you must purchase a renewal.

The "Renew" button is not provided, however.

Are we not allowed to extend support for a year?

Hi Nick,

HipChat Server/Data Center licenses cannot be renewed past the July 26th, 2019 date as specified on the linked documentation.

If you need additional time beyond the license expiration date to look for other chat solutions and migrate off the platform, we're happy to provide an evaluation license for an additional month or two to help out with that, just contact us to get the ball rolling.

Keep in mind that the core chat services will still function normally (API, chats, file uploads, etc) after the license expires, so your bots should be unaffected.
